Put the cursor in the To Enter the email address or the phone number of the person you’d like to contact. It’s the little square icon located next to the Search field. Sign in by providing the Apple ID credentials you are using on your iPhone. Press the CMD + Space keys together to open Spotlight and input Messages. If it’s not there, search for it by using Spotlight.
